Attuning to the Natural Order of Life
Encoded within the natural order of life is a sequence or pattern leading from unconscious infinite potential to fully self actualized expression. We call this natural unfolding evolution.
Many ancient civilizations tracked celestial bodies in the sky and natural order all around them, creating countless systems to measure the natural cycles they observed. There were many calendars that measured external events used for such purposes as agriculture, navigation and exploring, tracking historical events and more.
There were also spiritual calendars that kept an internal cycle of evolution that was discovered through deep embodied synchronization with the natural order of life.
One spiritual calendar developed by the Maya culture, called the Tzolkin, is a sacred count of the unique energetic signature connected with each day within the spiral of evolution.
There are 260 individual days, also corresponding with the amount of time of human gestation in the mother’s womb. The 260 energies compose the totality of the human psyche as well as the complete cycle of evolution from unmanifest infinite potential to conscious coherent embodiment.
Each day corresponds with an energy representing a stage of the unfolding of consciousness. Each specific energy is essential within the formula of wholeness.
This sacred count is revolutionary in terms of the way we perceive our existence, time and our day to day activity. It orients anyone who sincerely wishes to develop a deeper relationship with life itself – greater sense of empowerment and a natural structure for personal growth and development.
First it shifts the way we perceive time from a circle to a spiral. In the same way that our planet spirals through the universe / rotating around the sun as the sun rotates around a central sun of the Milky Way galaxy, which rotes around a central sun of an ever greater celestial body – moving through space in a trajectory that creates a spiral.
So too is the trajectory of evolution. At the completion of one cycle is another cycle that is unique and a sequential step onward towards the next octave of the expression of consciousness – carrying forth the maturation of the previous cycle into a new form..
There will never again be a moment that is the same as this moment – energetically composed of the unique space longitude and latitude and within a sequential order of unfolding.
This moment is unique. The spiral is constantly evolving in cycles that never repeat.
Within a perceptual frame that time is a circle – we miss the absolute uniqueness of each and every moment – and instead can fall into habits of compartmentalizing our lives into mental constructs or ideas that represent a past and a future. So much of our resources go towards the upholding these views that our ability to actually appreciate the infinite depth of the present moment is almost non existent.
So much are our resources allocated towards goals of the future and avoidance of/ pursuit of experiences from our past with a narrative fills our subconscious and masks the pure perception of the moment – our ability to act in the present moment is also limited.
The spiraling order and connection with the vibrant reality of now has in a sense been diminished to the point of feeling it doesn’t exist. But it does exist, we are the present moment, we are the interplay of subphotonic or quantum unified reality. It’s only the coherent expression of this reality has been so gets distorted by ignore-ance that we barely sense it.
Alignment with natural order and cycles help ensure our sense of unity is alive and intelligently orients our lives. But as we’ve become less dependent directly on our relationship with the land and more dependent upon technology and industrialized society providing all our needs – so too has our sense of connection with life and its source become diminished.
Next it helps guide our activities – internally and externally. Each day represents the embodied expression of an underlying energetic quality that is encoded within the architecture of time, subtly guiding the process of evolution. With awareness of each day’s overarching guiding theme, we orient our lives and consciously align ourselves, taking action with coherence.
Each energetic frequency leads into the next, seamlessly – yet each day is distinctly different from the previous. By aligning our outward actions and internal processes with the energy of the day we find both a support in our endeavors as well as the crystallization of an internal rhythm or order.
This spiritual calendar is similar to the agricultural calendars – indicating when the time is most fortuitous and supportive to take certain types of actions – times that bear the best results and times that have in a sense been cultivated by the unfolding process leading up to it.
When we align with the sacred count our internal processes become oriented towards the evolution of embodied consciousness. The governing energy of each day is of the most pure and refined expressions of source intelligence and is considered sacred – by establishing a relationship with that energy and integrating it into ourselves, we find greater sense of wholeness.
Sometimes we discover certain energies are more challenging for us than others. Beyond any logical reasoning, those days may just present challenges that can be observed as we pay attention to the sacred count. This gives us the opportunity to pay attention and consciously try to work out any inner resistance or conflict around those energies.
For example maybe the day of cutting away we find a recurring pattern of addictive tendencies arising strongly. Or a day emphasizing embodying our self knowledge is a day that results in us giving away our personal power to external authorities and feeling disempowered. When we are aware of the order, we can use each day intentionally and purposefully and find ourselves in an ever evolving spiral of growth.
Finally we find ourselves more in touch with life. The result of aligning with order is greater sense of connection and unity with life. We are not merely letting conditioned preferences direct our behaviors, but opening ourselves to a universal order that governs all things. When the little self becomes in service of the biggest “self” we find expanded sense of connection with all forms of life.

The Tzolkin calendar consists of 260 unique days in a cycle of expression – from no-thing and infinite collective unconscious potential to the fully embodied fully realized expression of life.
There are 20 cycles of 13 days and each cycle has its own unique theme.
Every 13 days our Newsletter will feature the theme of the upcoming cycle and all the days within it, along with a recommended practice that can help connect with the energy of that theme, as well as other news or invitations to upcoming events.
